The more things changed for the Kitchen girl Corp, which still operated out of Andrews Indiana the more some things appeared to endure, at least in a rather different form. At one point the busy homemaker would simply lift bags of sugar or flour in and out the cupboard as the requirement arose, no longer. Metal Drawer Inserts were built right into her drawers with sealed sections and lids that fell.

It isn’t a huge surprise that folk who collect and restore these items generally work with the older models. If you should happen to find an older Kitchen maid cabinet, then replacing the missing or rusted out hardware can prove to be a bit hard. The doors seem to be too thin to fit any sort of nail or fastener. Maybe in its haste to enhance the antique versions from centuries past a whole lot of skillful rewarding knowledge was lost along the path.
